Alright, news portion of this update. First off on my list is I am getting a haircut today. An actual haircut, and it's actually going to be short...ish. 6:00pm if any of you want to start celebrating. So, fun fun there. Pasadena's coming up as well. It's going to be (Rated R moment coming up) fucking fantasta-fucking-rific awesome. I can't wait. Oh, and Christmas is coming up soon. Yay for Christmas! Haven't updated this thing in a while. Not much has happened up til this weekend, where I had a party at my house. Those were some good times. Yesterday was a fun Halloween day. I basically stood outside my door for a few hours and scared anyone who came up to the house to trick or treat. It was quite fun. Of course we have leftover bags now so I can pig out for a bit. Got back from Vermont yesterday. Twas not bad. Did some hiking, kayaking, and watched a shit load of movies. Sunday night was awesome though. I went outside and saw about a bazillion stars, and small parts of the milkyway because there's almost no light pollution up in Vermont. The sky was litered with stars. Wish it was like that here.... Anyway, school starts tommorrow. I'm not sure if I'm exactly ready for the school year to start yet but hey, at least I'm a sophomore now. Although we also have a band practice tommorrow night and a football game on Friday. I can't say I'm gonna be looking forward to that. Ah well, life goes on. See most of you tommorrow. |

Band camp has being going pretty well I guess. It's not at all the torture I expected it to be. Although the balls of my feet and my shoulders really hurt. Still, it hasn't been nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Looking forward to the weekend though so I can sleep. I've been kinda depressed lately though. I'm not sure if it's the effect of band camp or whatnot but I just have no passion to really do anything. I would still of course love to hang out with people, but other than that I just really don't want to do anything. Weird ain't it? |

Today was the first day of band camp. I got a sunbrun on the back of my neck, major ouch. Otherwise it really wasn't taht bad. Aside from occasional pains in the arms and feet, it was really nothing. So, yeah, I doubt the rest of the week will be that bad. So yeah, nothing else is really new. Going to Vermont next week from Monday until Labor Day. Not really looking forward to that. Then school starts and vacation is over. Oh boy! |

I have just finished J.K. Rowling's new installment in the Harry Potter series as I am writing this. And quite frankly, I'm a bit surprised. All of Rowling's books have been great, but looking back, I've realized how much the books have evolved. Her first book was a light-hearted story, appealing more to young children, but still managing to be a book that can be enjoyed by all ages. However as the books have gone on, the series has gotten darker and more gloomy. However, the series has still managed to remain as magical and as heart-warming as the first book was. It is still, as some might say, 'a real page turner'. The seventh, if it is indeed the end of the series, will be something everyone is going to be looking forward to. The sixth book had a very good story, although it felt a bit short. Then again, I read it in about 4 days, so that's probably why. The book was great, and the ending, which I will not give away, is a very sad ending, but one that finds a sort of comfort in knowing there is going to be another book. All I can really say is bravo. Bravo. |

I was kinda bored so I thought I'd do one of these for the fun of it.
Well, I went to see the James Taylor concert on Tuesday with my family. My grandparents came along too but apparently they couldn't hear a thing. Oh well. The concert was pretty good, might've been better if we had been in the little sort of enclosed concert hall area that was up so that we could actually see him, rather than being outside. But it was good. Yesterday I went to see War of the Worlds. The movie itself was OK. They really needed to explain the end better though. The original explained it much better, but apparently they didn't feel like explaining it that well. Tom Cruise's performance wasn't great, but I'm not gonna complain. Overall, a 3-4 star movie. I think I'm gonna go see Fantastic 4 this weekend, although from what reviews have been saying it's not as good as it should have been. Then again, there have also been reviews saying it is incredible, so I'm just gonna go in and see it, and not go by what the reviews are saying. |

Well, tommorrow is El Dia de la Independencia, and today is the fireworks. Yay! Danvers fireworks kick ass and all that stuff. I'm gonna be going down in a few minutes, watch the show, have some fun. This summer is gonna be pretty nice. I finally get to sleep, which for me is kinda bad, since I usually end up sleeping til sometime in the afternoon. Yes, I am lazy, and yes, I don't really care. Lately, mainly today, I've been feeling a little wierd, and I'm not sure how I feel. Mix of excitement, nervousness, and I don't know.
Today I got the Metallica Live CD set. Thats $50 out of my pocket, but it all sounds good so I'm content. I should be getting a new speaker set soon for my computer. It conists of seven speakers, and a subwoufer. Surround sound in my room will be very fun. Perfect for those occasions when you need to immerse yourself into the music, or the game, or the something. Fun times ahead. Finals start this week, which makes me happy because that means we're out of school for Summer very soon. Monday I have one final and then I'll be out of the school until September. Also, I've got an extra ticket to a James Taylor concert on July 5th if anyone's interested. Just IM me or something if you wanna go. |

Pools finally open and ready for swimming. Yay! I'm also offering to let people come after school and swim. Basically just give me some prior notice, like the day you wanna come swim, and I'll check my schedule to see if it's alright.
Been kinda a rough week being in the school, the very humid school. At least there hasn't been a lot of homework, or at least not for me. Can't wait til Summer vacation gets started so I can finally sleep in. I do plan to do other things this Summer, but I mostly wanna catch up on my sleep. |

I meant to write this yesterday but I didn't ever get around to it. Yesterday, there was a car accident right outside my house. On the street some 60 year old lady wasn't paying attention to the road for God knows what reason, and she hit the curb on the street and hit a tree on our side of the street. Somehow she managed to turn the car completely on its side, and she was stuck in the car. When I heard it and saw what happened through my window, I immidiately ran down the stairs to check and see if anyone had been injured. It made me think how frail life was. Luckily, the woman in th car accident was able to walk away with probably just a couple of ribs broken or something. The car was a rental unfortunately and was totalled. But just seeing something like this made me think, why does this shit happen? Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you. And anyone who thinks a car crash is cool outside the movies, while I admit it may look cool, it is not in fact awesome in any way at all. Sure, car pileups and such, they can look awesome, but thats all it gets to. There are people in those accidents who get hurt and die. So as my message to you all, if you think a car accident is cool, it's not. No matter what you say, it's not. |

Well, it's close almost Summer. I think it's finally stopped raining and hopefully we'll be getting some good weather soon. 4 Weeks til we're out of school. Kinda long considering we get out the 28th, but it'll be Summer and we all get to relax. Finals will make the last week seem shorter too. Next week the pool should be open. All these summer thoughts have me excited for my reign of sleep, yet surprisingly I'm a bit depressed. Hopefully it'll pass by the time Summer's in.
EDIT: I'm also going to see James Taylor in concert July 5th. |
